Course Description
The third year Grammar and Writing course is divided mainly into two parts. The first part deals with grammar rules including cleft sentences, substitution, ellipsis, reported speech, as well as active and passive voices. The second one is devoted to writing academic essays, mainly the cause and effect essay and the argumentative essay in addition to paraphrasing, summarizing and quoting. In short, this course is devised to provide students with the needed grammar rules and writing processes and how to apply them to write academic compositions.
