Description of the course:
The research methodology course prepares pre-service trainees to write their research papers. The course is both theoretical and practical as it reviews the steps delt with previously in the fourth year; like stating the problem, reviewing literature and choosing the methodology. For the practical part, the students will make use of the theoretical part to conduct a small scale study and write their research papers.
Targeted students:
Fifth year ENSB students of the English Department.
Aim of the course:
The course aims to accompany the teacher trainees in writing their research papers both theoretically and practically (i.e, in selecting the methodology)

Brief description of the course: Applied Linguistics course is an introduction to discourse analysis. It explores the ways in which language varies according to subject area, social setting, communicative purpose and the social roles and identities of those involved.
Target audience: Fifth year ENSB students
General objectives: The course aims to make the trainees aware of the discourse varieties introduced in the English textbooks according to their purpose, topic and audience, and analyse texts accordingly.
