Content of the course 

This course ensures the students the acquisition of competences to recognise  the allophonic variations of phonemes and thus tackle some aspects of connected speech it also iniciates them to  suprasegmental prosody

 Aim of the course

In this course the student should be able

• to transcribe phonetically any utterance taking into account the specific context of the phonemes  using the diacritics to show it,
• have knowledge of some aspects of connected speech processes,
• handle word stress rules and have an idea on sentence stress rythm and intonation.

Target learners

This course is intended for students of second year PES and PEM.
